Dissertation Research
My dissertation, Therapist Attitudes Toward Feminist Approaches in the Treatment of Complex PTSD Among Women and Gender-Diverse Clients, focuses on how therapists experience using feminist psychology approaches, including affective and creative methods, in treating CPTSD among their female and gender-diverse clients.
This mixed-methods research is presently unpublished/not defended but identifies the conditions under which therapists are most likely to embrace contemporary feminist psychology orientations in their practices. It presents a conceptual training approach to expanded and intentional integration of this methodology for treatment of CPTSD.
